David Deon, leader and founder of Unified Soul, found a light of unity when he met Marquis and Joe-Joe and they formed Unified Soul. In which, they bring together diverse people into a place of peace, love and harmony through music of the soul. About Unified Soul

Unified Soul has been described as a small band with a big sound and crowd pleasing energetic performance. Veteran vocalist David Deon (Lead Vocals, Bass Guitar, Keyboards and Handsonic Percussion) delivers explosive vocals with soulful ballads like Marvin Gayes "Let's get it on" to Usher's smooth hip hop ballad "U Got it bad". Funk jams from James Brown, Gap Band and Commodores to Top 40 Rock, Pop and Hip Hop tunes. David delivers old school dance steps & the fresh new hip-hop moves, Deon is the consummate entertainer and ultimate frontman. Marquis on Keyboards and Synth leaves fans and musicians alike mesmerized with his left hand bass playing and his sweet, melodic, Jazz and R&B influenced chord phrasings. Drummer Joe Holloway lays the back bone in the band with what makes Funk, Soul and R&B so danceable and that funky rhythm is what earned him the name "Timbale Joe the Funky Drummer". The Unified Soul trio is a great package for smaller venues who have a party crowd atmosphere who really like to dance. The trio is also a perfect match for club venues or weddings with a limited budget. This group is extremely versatile for any occasion. David Deon (Leader, Vocals, Bass, Keyboards,Percussion) Hailing from Nashville, Tn., David started singing in his church choir at age 5, classical by 13 and started first band Suavè in Atlanta at 15. Guitar was his first instrument and he plays several other instruments but vocalist/frontman is his calling.David's natural talent has enabled him to perform with Classic Soul acts such as Major Lance and Wilson Pickett while performing with his stepfather's band Terrell's Revue. David attributes his success to his stepfather's influence and example set by his leadership role in his band. David has worked towards his degree in music/voice at Clark College and audio/video engineering at the Music Business Institute both in Atlanta, Ga. Past bands include David Deon & New Soul Xperience and aja. He has opened for Steve Miller Band, B-52's, and America at Rockfest '98 and a host of other nationally renowned bands.

Marquis (Keyboards, Background Vocals, Music Director) Born in Chicago, Mark started playing piano at age 12. He has perfected his style of playing through major influences that include Stevie Wonder, Bernie Worrell, and the music of Prince. He has had the pleasure of performing with Frankie Beverly & Maze and pop superstar R. Kelly. In the last 10 years he has found himself performing throughout the midwest with acts such as Ayres and aja.

Joseph Holloway (Drums, Master Percussionist, Vocals) A Rochester NY native, started in music at the early age of 3. His first performance was with. A Touch of Love. He then move on to open for Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Heatwave, Tyrone Davis and The Trinidad & Tobago Steel Band of Rochester. The last 10 years have been filled performing with aja and Unified Soul throughout the midwest.

Andy "Spuds" Spadafora (Tenor, Alto & Baritone Saxophonist) A Wausau, Wi. native, this young man is the future of music and will leave an indelible impression on the music scene. Andy blows with true heart and passion, and truly loves his craft. Influences include Grover Washinton Jr., Joshua Redmond and John Coltrane to name a few. Andy joined Unified Soul in the spring of 2004 and has been a welcome addition. He will be attending UW Madison in 2005/2006.
