Description:
The New York City-based hard rock band- is awaiting the release of their self-titled 6-song EP. Recorded and mastered this winter at 20/20 Studios in Westchester, NY, by veteran engineer Saul Zonana, the EP features six original tracks. Together a little over one year, 3 Times Denied have already received favorable press, made a name for themselves locally on Staten Island and at some of NYC's cutting-edge clubs, and had a supporting gig for one of NYC's most acclaimed hard rock bands, Law & Order.

Band Members:
Paul Baldasare (vocals): When he rips into the refrain "Rejection was my middle name" on 3 Times Denied's opening track, you realize, this guy's voice is more powerful than most entire bands. His approach isn't all about power, though, and he's not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve: in "Left Behind", when he sings "Waiting for a call / still feel so alone / you don't miss me / or the sound of my voice" - you've been there, and somehow he makes this sentiment sound fresh.

Frank "Ciccio" Malandro (guitar): Malandro bridges the gap between the age of guitar heroes and today's modern sound. An unbridled talent, he gets a wide range of colors from his axe , and covers rhythm and solo parts that most other bands would have two guitarists playing. His solos are both melodic and rhythmic - without getting in the way of the tune. He has chops - but doesn't show them off for effect. It is refreshing to hear such a talent be so selfless in his playing.

Johnny Nova (bass): Johnny is the epitome of the modern bassist and he is the glue that binds the band together. Locked in with his drummer, giving the guitar and vocals a cushion to float over, he tosses infectious grooves to the crowd no matter the venue. Johnny is, at every moment, the Zen riddle of the bass itself: at its best, you hardly notice its there, but take it away, and you're left with nothing. And although this isn't dance music, this guy alone makes you want to move!

Ted Farley (drums): Ted is a soulful drummer steeped in the tradition of great rock drummers. Like all the greats before him, there isn't one wasted note, one excess , he's playing for the music, for the song, the audience, his band , but never for himself. From the pulsing hi-hats intro in "Left Behind" to the low tom fills in "Rejection" he's comfortable behind the entire kit. Think drums don't make a difference? Check out the way Farley propels the entire band at the end of "Tied Up": pushing the bass, guiding the vocals, supporting the guitar solo- great stuff.
