Description:
Life After August is dedicated to the life and memory of Lance Cpl. Brian Montgomery. He was a TRUE HERO and the reason why the band was created. Life After August is all about rocking out and having a great time, ALL the time! Just like Brian would have wanted it. He is a continuing influence on the member of the band and will always be remembered for his Heroic sacrifice. Brian always gave more than he had to and LAA is dedicated to giving that to their fans as well. LAA’s mission is to show the world the eternal influence that the courage and bravery of one man can have. A true hero, like Brian, keeps on giving even when he’s gone. We love you Brian, Semper Fi!
Band Members:
Debbie Randazzo (Highland Heights, OH) “D-Rock” has been playing drums since 5th grade and has developed a unique bridge between her past and present musical influences to create her own personal style. She is 20 years-old and was introduced to LAA by a friend of a friend of a friend of a girlfriend. Long story short, she hits hard, drums loud, and makes most male drummers wish they would have stuck to the recorder.
James Ross Schleicher (Willoughby, OH) “J-Ross” is the front-man and co-founder of Life After August. He is 23 years-old and is dedicated to improving both his musicianship and vocal capabilities. When asked what inspires his lyrics, James said, "The thought of the crowd singing along with me like every word was their own."
Greg Chmielecki (Parma, OH) “Chimo" began with a death metal band as he thrashed on the bass guitar and lived for the Death Metal sound and the bone crushing mosh pits that would ensue. He continues to show his natural and absolute brilliance for music by beginning his Life After August debut on the bass when the band was formed, but in 2006 switched to lead guitar. Chimo recorded every drum track on LAA’s Summer 2006 Demo as well as the bass lines for LAA’s debut album “INSTINCT” (2008). Chimo is 24 years-old and is truly the "back-bone" of every song.
Jimmy Chmura (Bedford, OH) “Jimmy Capp" rocks out the bass guitar for Life After August. His personality and energy on and off stage is like no other. Jimmy Capp was asked to join Life After August in the fall of 2006 and has dedicated himself to doing what is truly best for the band.
Jered Schleicher (Willoughby, OH) “J-Rod” is the youngest member of the group at 17 years of age. However, his natural and effortless talents on guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocals put him light years ahead of almost any musician. He is a natural front-man with the ability to sing lead vocals for any band, but his passion for music has motivated him to sing back-up vocals and focus most of his talents entirely on guitar.
