Description:
STRINGTHEORY'S charismatic polished songwriting seems effortless, and their ability to write up tempo-acoustic-electric pop/rock, seems disturbingly natural. They write radio-friendly songs filled with hooks and across-the-board appeal. Yet their music pinpoints a definite melancholy beneath the sheen, as sweet introspection floats over dark undercurrents. STRINGTHEORY's diverse musical tastes are reflected on their debut album, as you will hear. Influences include Jeff Buckley, Massive Attack, Bjork, Radiohead, The Cure, Filter and Pearl Jam.
Band Members:
Boston based, STRINGTHEORY was founded on a common musical ground and an intense love for all things music. After graduating from England's North London University, front man Costa Toulantas (vocals/guitar) returned to Boston and while seeking to record a demo, he was introduced to Adrian Canoso (bass), an electronic musician who had been honing various audio production skills at a well-known recording studio in the city. Within a year Ryan Magnasco (drums) and Rob Giordano (lead guitar) joined the camp and the band was formed.
