Holding down the low end is the band’s bassist (TBA), whose rich, groove-laden lines ground the chaos with technical authority and smooth confidence.

Front man Allen Alamillo completes the Slanderus lineup with a voice that cuts deep. His vocals—marked by emotional intensity, soaring pitch range, and brutal honesty—convey lyrics that strike the soul. Together, the band crafts a sound that blends the progressive complexity of Dream Theater with the visceral edge of Slipknot and the melodic hooks of Iron Maiden, all while forging a signature style that’s unmistakably their own.

Slanderus made their live debut in 2009 at Angel's Roadhouse in Yucaipa, California. Since then, they've carved their name into the SoCal metal scene with unforgettable performances at venues like Mission Tobacco Lounge (Riverside), The Venue (Grand Terrace), Character’s (Pomona), Rockefellas (Corona), The Slidebar (Fullerton), Stages (Santa Ana), and the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood. Their relentless energy has earned them a loyal fanbase and appearances at major events like the OC Fair and regional Battle of the Bands competitions.

In 2023, Slanderus took the stage with heavy metal titans Fear Factory, Lions at the Gate, and Metal Church at the Whisky A Go Go—an explosive moment in their upward trajectory. They continued the momentum in 2024, opening for classic nu- metal icons Adema at The District in Redlands, CA.

Their 2023 single Invert Your Eyes showcases the band’s fearless blending of styles, marrying aggressive riffs with melodic precision and an unmistakable progressive flair. With influences ranging from Anthrax, Queensrÿche, and Rush to Machine Head and System of a Down, Slanderus brings something fresh and fierce to every track.

Voted “Best Local Band of 2022” by Inland Empire Magazine, Slanderus has performed alongside nearly 100 other bands, expanding their musical reach and establishing a powerful presence in the metal community.
