Description:
The "best damn blues rock band I've heard in years" said one critic of Rick Nomad's Affairs of the Heart album. That's not entirely fair. With a depth of songwriting that comes from life experience, Nomad is able to summon up emotions and lifescapes along with the best of the singer-songwriters.

Backed by seasoned road musicians, Nomad is able to rock with the best, yet maintain the integrity of an acoustic song.

"Like the cool older brother you never had" is the way one reviewer heralded Nomad's first release. "Sounds like a band that has spent twenty-five years on the road and were kind enough to stop in and share it with us" is another quote that aptly describes Nomad and his intrepid band.

Band Members:
Reading the bios of the Nomad band is like taking a walk through the musical history of the Baltimore- Washington area.

As a songwriter and performer, band leader Rick has been entertaining fans since the mid 60s. After getting his first guitar from Sears, he quickly formed a neighborhood act that played at local teen parties. Rick has honed his guitar skills in a series of rock and jump-blues bands, and as a featured guitarist with legendary groups like the Excels, Rocket 88, Loose Change, Fly by Nite, Hotfood, Midnite Crisis, Georgie Jessup and the Jewels, and the rock 'n' roll legend Joey Welz.

Guitarist Bill Mott came through life-changing heart replacement surgery with a determination to live his rock 'n' roll dream. For years, the Bill Mott Band has been a staple in the bar scene, and Bill is now guiding the stars of tomorrow.

A true child of the sixties, Leo has been playing bass in the mid-Atlantic since before FM radio. Switching from lead singer to bass player in his first band, Leo found his true calling. A staple in many well-known rock 'n' roll and blues acts, he earned the moniker of The Scatman with his in-the-pocket bass lines. The consumate professional, Scatman Aspiras can be found as the backbone of many recordings and live performances with a wide variety of acts even today.

Drummer Tom Yeager lived a Bruce Springsteen-like childhood in the summers of Ocean City, Maryland. As a young adult roving the boardwalk of Maryland's playground, he heard the sounds coming from the clubs and bars and decided that that was his future. For thirty-five years, Tom has been beating the pots and pans on stages across the mid-Atlantic.
