Closed For Winter

Band Members:
Kevin Hartley- Rhythm Guitar/ Lead Vocals: Kevin started his musical journey as a choir boy who never liked singing classical music. His natural ear for good vocal technique matched well with his love of poetry and song-writing. He began writing purely acoustic songs and then found Steve and Brandon to complete the package. Steve Brey- Drums/ Backing Vocals: Steve and Kevin have been friends for most of their lives. When the original Closed For Winter broke up in the summer of 2003, Steve took it upon himself to quickly accelerate his drum playing abilities. He was eager to get back to playing with a band and is now an active participant in the song-writing process. Brandon Grimm- Lead Guitar: Brandon is seven big years younger than Kevin or Steve. However, it was his musical instinct, not his age, that made the decision to add him an easy one for Steve and Kevin. What Brandon lacks in worldly wisdom, he makes up for ten-fold by constantly practicing and always improving his playing ability. Since joining the band, Brandon has moved from bass to lead guitar. As for now, the guys have written some songs that take each of them out of their comfort zone and look forward to pushing the envelope more in the near future. Eric Nunn- Bass: Eric took Brandon's spot as both the bass player and the youngest member of Closed For Winter. Much like Brandon, Eric is determined to show people it is his ability that drew us to him. Fighting off critics is hard when you are eight years younger than half the band, but it is a challenge Eric is up to.
