Description:
Jonesboro Arkansas

CURRENT: In October 2006, FURTHER DOWN released their 3rd full length record, “7 Years Hard Luck”. Explosive southern vocals, impressive powerful hooks, and dual lead guitars pretty well describe the new songs off “7 Years Hard Luck".

“7 Years Hard Luck” was recorded at the famous Memphis TN recording studio, Ardent Studios (Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, REM, The Allman Brothers, North Mississippi Allstars, 3 Doors Down, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The White Stripes) and was produced by Pete Matthews (Evanescence, North Mississippi Allstars, Devon Allman, Paul Simon). The record features Rick Steff (Hank Williams, Jr., The Gin Blossoms) on keyboards on "Black & Bleach" as well as Susan Marshall (Lenny Kravitz, Afghan Whigs, Lynyrd Skynyrd) & Jackie Johnson as backing vocals on "Get Your Rocks Off".

FURTHER DOWN has performed songs off the new album in major televison markets on KAIT TV’s “Good Morning Region 8” and on the Channel 3’s “Live at 9” show based out of Memphis TN. Several major radio stations have already picked up some of the new songs. Clear Channel Radio, KISS 101.9 FM (Jonesboro AR) received such a great audience response with “What You Say”, the song has been placed in active rotation with all other major label recordings. Other stations includes: Z100.5 FM (Jonesboro AR) “Black & Bleach” in active rotation - Z95.5 FM (Poplar Bluff MO) Hour show on October 7, 2006 featuring the entire CD -The Max 93.1 (Batesville AR) “What You Say” - Rock 103 (Memphis TN) “Get Your Rocks Off” & “What You Say” background plays on the Ric & Dennis Show also multiple weekends on the Great Unsigned - The Edge 100.3 (Little Rock AR) “What You Say” multiple plays on local show.

The new songs are as pure and emotional as rock & roll gets portraying images about love, relationships and the southern way of life from the delta region of Arkansas. The band will be performing over the next year through out the MidSouth (US) and areas of Europe in support of the release of “7 Years Hard Luck”.
