Description:
Umbra was started in middle school ( then called "813" ) by David Tracey and Sean Mallett. As the band went through high school they picked up a vocalist Rick Glen. Bass players came and went. After performing in front their school countless times and playing private parties high school seemed to end fast. After high school Sean joined the military. After he came back they started once again and their sound matured.This is where Mark Hamlon saved the day. Mark is the best suited bassist in 10 years. He joined in early 04'. They played a few shows and then went to LA to record " Dark Corners of Memory ". The Recording studio was nothing they imagined but it did get something accomplished ( a few songs ). Later that month Davids father passed. He then went away to take care of family in Maui, Hawaii until they healed. David will be coming back in june 05'. The future of Umbra is a promising one. Note from David: "Just listen to our crappy recordings, and invision them 10 times better. Our goal is to make the most technicaly beautiful music as humanly possible. When I come back There is no stopping us. I promise."
