Description:
On the surface DEFIANCE ROAD may appear to be a hard rock group whose only intention is to create music that kicks your ass, yet this is only a small part of their story. Vocalist Dusty Trullender, guitarist Andrew Manko, bassist Jeff Schimtt, and drummer Dan Ervin are the leaders of a movement to rediscover the lost soul of Rock & Roll and all that entails. Feeling overwhelmed by the constant bombardment of bullshit that our society has to offer, each member realized it was time to do or die. With this philosophy fully embraced they decided to embark on a journey; one in which their destination is unknown and their futures unclear. However, with these uncertainties come the first true glimpses of freedom and the clues that lead to a forgotten way of life. They have chosen to venture down a road less traveled, a road of…defiance. Though this is not a trip for the faint of heart, the leaders of this crusade encourage all that are willing to join them, as we are all lost souls searching for answers. Band Members:
Defiance Road has been described as "a power trio with a wailing vocalist", started in late January 2004 when vocalist Dusty Trullender reunited with guitarist Andrew Manko, bassist Jeff Schmitt after a short hiatus.Soon Dan joined as the drummer, completing the band. Refocused, the group began working towards tighter musicianship and stronger songwriting.
