Description:
Nemesis, a band that truly is a sum of its parts. Piecing together four musicians to create a sound that is bigger than life, Nemesis has become one of the tri-cities greatest little secrets. Drawing inspiration from such bands as Metallica, Alice in Chains, Staind, and Creed, the boys of Nemesis find themselves writing songs that deal with everyday struggles that people can relate to.
The band was founded in late April of 2003 when Mike Gapp, Mike Sandoval, and Mike Rust got together for an acoustic arrangement of the Eagle's classic Hotel California. The three friends decided to continue to perform music, this time plugging in and with a recruited leadvocalist, Tim Melichar. The four began playing shows in local bars in the Hastings area. As time went on, they played many venues and shows. Tim "Shaggy" Melichar needed to expand his horizons and decided to go to graduate school. In the fall of 2004, the band recruited Travis Patterson. He brought with him years of guitar experience and a voice that kicks it. They have rocked everything from Comstock Rock, to the First Baptist Church in Hastings. With a diverse assortment of songs, original and covers, the band easily can ensure that everyone can have a good time.
