Description:
An unintentionally-created venture of sounds, emotion, and presence, Threnody is paving a path to success with just that. Formed in 2003, the Houston based quartet started out playing shows at parties with a mostly cover set, and soon-after, they started performing at actual local venues. The parties became the shows, the houses turned to stages, and before they knew it, Threnody had gained a following and a reputation that now precedes them. The dark aura of the stage, the intense performance, and the captivating sounds that emanate from them can be seen at any live show. Threnody has been seen on the Houston, Austin, and Beaumont stages for a while. They have played with many local Houston bands, and some national acts such as Glasseater, Halifax, and The Trademark. Threnody is on the way up. Whether its at a crazy beachhouse party, or at a quiet little coffeshop with an acoustic set, Threnody is sure to please listeners visually and emotionally through their music. Now, already 2004 at the edge of winter, new songs are underway and prospects face toward summer tours in the high North and far West.
