Music types: Electronic, 80s
Description:
i tried to infuse my music with emotive qualities. i wanted the music to come across as a blend of classical and soundtrack/film score with touches of video game music and some modern electronic/industrial/dance. every so often i sneak in a bit of tribal and arabesque sounds. basically anything and everything, so long as it does not repeat too much. i want to make music and going to see a show an enjoyable and entertaining experience again. more than anything, i want to push the boundry of what is expected from electronic music and blur the divisions that grow between genres. one of the first questions i get when i tell people i play music is what kind. i generally answer electronic, and the next question is inevitably 'is it techno?' no, in fact, i did not necessarily make this music to be danced to, though if you feel so inclined, by all means...

Band Members:
in all honesty the band is just me and my arsenal of synths. i have talked to a few other people about doing some sessions work, especially for vocals and possible electronic drumming, but as of yet nothing has happened. so it's just me and all my theory and technique classes paying off finally!

Latest News:
well well well...this has been a profitable evening. the extremely limited release of terror mechanism's glitch/noise/remix single entitled 'of violent textures and and abstract forms' will be occuring later this very day. in fact, as i am typing this now i have just finished posted the info on realplayer for the other losers out there that got suck with it too. stupid realplayer. but now, when you pop your hand-numbered copy into the cd drive on your computer, the info -should- all show up. if not, check below for details. i added layer after sample-destroyed layer to this one. every so often the original melody shines through, in fact, if you think you might be The Official Terror Mechanism Fan, we will be holding a contest after the cd release party...whoever can email me with the correct original titles that all six tracks were remixed from, i will give you my mother board. that's right! if you can name all of the original songs these were remixed from, i will hand over my roland jx-305. one hell of a synth. and fuck everyone out there who thought this thing was only built for dance halls and techno.

recently i have been talking to a lot of new people interesting in donating their souls,...i mean time and effort into my musical project and its live performance. tentatively, at some point in the future we may see: 1) a female vocalist collaborating on several songs, including an uber-dancy synthed-up version of "i just died in your arms tonight" by none other than cutting crew. (author's note: did these guys ever do anything else? i am doing this song on commision...) 2) a drummer with an electronic drum set. actually this guy was the drummer in my very first band, and i have known him quite a while. we get along great and our musical taste and ideas really coincide very well. until then i have made arrangements with carson that this guy will runs the lights to my shows until then. 3) this is the most tentative of all the news i have...very recently i have gotten in contact with someone who has experience making and designing props, and applying stage makeup. oh just imagine what we could do with an entire stage crew behind us! wagner, here i come!
