Description:
Combining the dirty rock and sardonic pop of The Pixies with the abrasive electronics of Ministry and The Refused, Phantom Noise has quickly earned a reputation as a promising and innovative trio of the Midwestern underground. In the past year, the group kicked off their first set of live shows with a thread of explosive, moody, and highly visual performances. Born in early 2006 from the ashes of their fuzz rock quartet Lucigen, Phantom Noise started as a studio project for Jones and Ousley in their hometown of Morton, IL. Taking cues from rock, industrial, and noise bands, the project mutated into a unique and engaging sound worthy of full time dedication. The following summer Phantom Noise recruited Redshaw, whose heavy and agile drumming gave the band the rawness they had been looking for. After many months of rehearsal and experimenting, Phantom Noise self-released the single “Wires” and was ready to hit the stage in August 2007. Phantom Noise is currently working on their debut album while continuing to tour regionally, committed to the spread of their infectious electro grunge songs.
