Spangilian is the inevitable outcome from years of failed jobs, and a unanimous and single desire to make music. Phil and Marty taught themselves to play guitar before highschool, writing songs and attempting bands all those years until now.
Our official site is really better suited to answer this question but...
Spangilian features a strong punk-rock sound with various influences from other music interests. We all have a bit of a ska-punk background, some enjoy the blues and rockabilly. Why not just listen?

As stated above, Phil and Marty always wanted a band together. Throughout highschool, several band attempts failed. It seemed like highschool was the time when EVERYONE wanted to be in a band for the cool-factor.
Anyway, years down the road brings us here. We've finally found the perfect drummer, and although we'd love to have a full-time bassist aboard... our drummer, Ishy said it perfectly, regarding bass player recruits: "Either they suck or they're assholes".
So we're taking everything to the next level. Soon, we'll be taking it to the stage.
