Description:
Originally from Boston, MA, the Ernest Goodlife Band (Now established in Philadelphia, PA) blends Introspective lyrics with heartfelt acoustic-driven Rock.
Forged in the tradition of such influential artists as James Taylor, the Allman Brothers and the Dave Matthews Band, this group brings a distinctive sound that will challenge engaged listeners and entertain high energy crowds since its "Beantown" inception. Currently, the Ernest Goodlife Band can be found performing their unique blend of both originals and covers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region at venues ranging anywhere from coffee shops to clubs, private parties to festivals, and high schools to colleges.
In just the span of one year since their move to Philadelphia, the band has played over 100 shows to a growing fanbase hungry for great music and great times.
This past summer, they performed at many festivals such as the Central PA Arts Festival, Musikfest 2005, and some of Philly's finest clubs including The Grape Street and World Cafe Live. Undoubtedly, the highlight of their busy summer was opening up for Hollywood Records artist Josh Kelley at Salisbury University in early September.
Band Members:
Front man and principle songwriter Mark De Rose began performing on a dare while studying in Salamanca, Spain. He brings a relaxed vocal style reminiscent of a young James Taylor while his guitar parts are enriched with the melodicism and energy of bluegrass. Drummer Mikey Lawrence have proved to be an unstoppable rhythm section, responsible for exciting crowds - a common occurrence at Ernest Goodlife shows.
