Description:
Her Rotting Ways is an all original three piece metal machine hailing from the bitter nowhere lands of Niles, Michigan. Drawing from the influences of Black Metal, Thrash, Groove Metal and even Punk, the shredding vocals, low end melodies and lock-tight rhythms place this band amongst the more original in their genre. The ever changing riff exchange between guitar, bass and drums only solidifies what this band stands for...diversity. The band name follows in suit with that theory symbolizing how women really do have complete control of situations, whether its in a positive or negative way. Mother Nature, The Statue Of Liberty, wives and girlfriends....they can all effect any given situation to a mans advantage or disadvantage...learning to cope is true diversity.
Band Members:
Matthew Tranker-(guitar/lead vocals)-was a veteran of his local music scene at age 17 mastering the licks on his classic and unique guitar collection. The common pitfalls of being in a band led him to follow his acedemic ventures at IUSB in the education field. Less than two years to go for his Bachelor's degree, he has once again answered the demons that cry METAL! Balancing books and his half stack, Matthew brings to the table the most powerful screaming vocal in unsigned metal, his untouchable riffs and the undeniable lead work. Major influences: Darkthrone, Celtic Frost, Black Sabbath
Scott Hadley-(drums/backing vocals)- remains the ONLY one armed drummer in the world as we know it! After loosing movement in his left arm following a snowmobile accident, Scott's amazing skills and determination only improved his knack for original beats and punishing double bass rhythms. A jack of all trades, he holds an associates degree in accounting, restores cars, remodels homes and garages, owned his own carpet laying company at one time and volunteers at the local YMCA coaching youngsters in basketball and soccer. Scott brings the commitment and brutal drive that any good metal band needs. Major influences: Pantera, White Zombie
Matt Hitt-(bass/part-time vocals)-has been writing and recording music since the age of 16. Bred on the true punk of the late 70's and early 80's, he has enough venom to kill a man, but enough melody to caress the neck of a virgin. Matt prides himself on being a homebody of sorts and only enjoys 4 things...music, food, sex, movies. The organizer, pusher or just plain instigator, he trys to get the best out of everyone he's around making it much easier for himself to relax and patch the holes. Lyrics and hooks remain his bread and butter, but Matt has found a home solidifying one of the strongest unsigned bands in metal. Major influences: Amen, Pig Destroyer, DEVO
