Description:
The Fast Mothers were founded by Chris and Tracy Ruble, the identical twin sons of the late legendary musician Tommy Ruble. Tommy was a member of the West Texas Music Hall Of Fame group, The Cavaliers, who were best known for their hit song, "Last Kiss," re-recorded in the late nineties by Pearl Jam. Tommy received The Memphis Song Of the Year Recording Artist award in 1980 for his performance on "Swinging Down In Memphis Town", The Memphis Press Billy Award for Top Pop Male Artist in 1981 and in 1991 he was selected to be the lead vocalist on "One Last Bridge" the official song of Memphis.

The Fast Mothers began as an outlet for Tracy' s musical creativity. Finding himself for the first time without a guitarist, Tracy taught himself to play rhythm guitar to assist in his song writing process. Tracy's brother Chris, who is just as musically talented as Tracy, has always been a family man. Now that his family is stable and the temptations of youth have passed, Chris decided to get involved, and what was once a casual hobby, quickly became a serious project.

Chris, who hadn't been behind a drum kit since he was eight years old, quickly picked it back up without missing a beat (No pun intended.). So with Chris on drums and Tracy on vocals and rhythm guitar, The Fast Mothers began writing song after song, and even though they were turning out great material, The Fast Mothers knew they needed additional musicians to enhance and complete their music. They patiently waited for the right players to come along, because with this project, character is just as important as talent.

After going six months without finding a bass player or lead guitarist, The Fast Mothers decided to take a break and go to Beale Street and promote their band. It was late and The Fast Mothers were about to call it a night when they decided to hand out one last flyer. That flyer ended up in the hands of Dave Stanley, who just happened to be a bass player of eleven years. Two nights later, Dave came out to Chris' house and jammed with The Fast Mothers. It took less than an hour for Chris and Tracy to know this was who they wanted and for Dave to know this is where he wanted to be.

For their lead guitarist slot, The Fast Mothers called Trent Dickinson, whom they met while looking for a rhythm guitarist, after their original lead guitarist could no longer play due to other obligations. Trent came out a week later and fit in great with The Fast Mothers from his personality to his musical style which moved The Fast Mothers from a Blues base to Hard Rock. Trent was asked on the spot to be a Fast Mother and he quickly agreed.

The Fast Mothers made their debut in mid 2004 and word of their arrival quickly spread. The Fast Mothers played venue after venue honing their sound while growing as individuals and as a group. They quickly accumulated many fans and impressed club owners and fellow musicians alike. The Fast Mothers ended 2004 with a bang headlining a local venue on Beale Street on New Year's Eve. It's now a new year with a new guitarist. What's in store for The Fast Mothers? Stick around! It's gonna be a blast either way!
