Description:
Founded in 1999 in Vancouver, Washington, The Erotic Politicians are a roots-based, back-to-the-basics rock n' roll band that captures an uncompromising American spirit with its unique songwriting and high-energy stage performances.
Singer/songwriter Josh narrates through passionate and heartfelt vocals stirring memories of early Jim Morrison, and the gritty, bluesy influences of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf to name a few. The guitars of both Josh and Tyson incorporate rich textures from the traditional American guitar styles. Josh has mastered the use of the rare Talk Box and takes it to a brand new level with a flair unmatched by previous 'Guitar Gods'. Add soulful vocal harmonies and the solid rhythm section of Doug Cox on bass and Steve Daubert on drums, and you've got the kind of funky American rock n' roll that moves the spirit.
"We want to confirm the things we believe about music," explains Tyson, "that people really do want good rock n' roll." It's The Erotic Politicians goal to reintroduce rock n' roll to a world now inundated with sloppy, mediocre performers.
The band is now being produced by composer, keyboardist Andrew Giddings from the legendary rock band, Jethro Tull. Along with Andrew's brilliant talent and vast insight, The Erotic Politicians are on a fast track to rock stardom.
