Kelley Taylor and Colorado Slim Blues Band

We are a Blues band with a Kick in the style of Koko Taylor and Tab Benoit.Kelley Taylor belts out the blues in a style that Koko would be proud of while hubby Mike(bass)and Denny Denninger(drums)drive that down and dirty blues rhythm.Dennis Guin (I'd swear I'm listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn)plays guitar.Griz Adams fills all the voids with his keyboards,harp and excellent sax work.Alone,we are strong.Together, we are unstoppable!!! After only being together for 1 year, we have racked up quite a record.We were voted a "5 STAR" rating from the Blues Society of the Ozarks and the Blues on the Border Blues Society.As a matter of fact, We competed in the Memphis Bound competition and won our way into the finals for the right to represent the Blues on the Border Blues Society in Memphis in January. And then we won North Arkansas's first annual Battle of the Bands in which we won 12 hours of studio time.We were so excited about that!!!

On July 26th,2003,we held our Debut C/D release party at the Back Forty in Mountain Home Arkansas.It was a rousing success!!! We competed in the International Blues Competition in Memphis,Tn. on January 29th and 30th as semi-finalists.WOW what an education we got!!!all the bands were just Fantastic. We didn't win it this year but there's always next year.Thanks for all your support.

Kelley Taylor-Lead vocals, hails from St.Louis and has a voice the closley resembles Janis Joplin and Koko Taylor.If a white girl can sing the blues this one can she has the soul of some of the greats. Michael Taylor- bass guitar-vocals hails from chicago .Mike has been pickin his bass since he was 9 yrs old .He has a style all his own.He is very acomlished in his music and can really pull together a song,with his strong lead bass skills. Dennis Guin- lead guitar-vocals-hails from denver co. Dennis has closest style to stevie ray most people have heard.He sure stands out when it comes to makin his guitar sing. Griz Adams-Sax-vocals-keyboards-blues harp- from south Arkansas .Talkin about talent Griz Adams can play just about anything he picks up.His sax is some of the best around.he is a very well and rounded musician. Denny Denninger-drums-Denny hails from New Orleans need i say more? He has played with some greats down south and has been playing his drums for more than 30 yrs .We are lucky to have such a great drummer keepin us tight.
