Taxi.com, the country's biggest A&R song-writing service, called Wells Hollow's music a "very cool blend of traditional and contemporary sounds..." and Lamon Records Nashville says that their "hometown harmonies wrap perfectly around their hit-song lyrics and melodies..." To be sure, Wells Hollow does not sound like the bulk of formulaic songs coming out of Nashville these days, but has its' own sound...a sound that country folks across their home area have responded to with surprising enthusiasm. An earthy sound that comes straight from the "holler" ...sprinkled with rocking guitars, country themes, and the down home feel that comes from living and playing amidst the hunters, farmers, and good ol' boys of the backwoods where they come from.
