Define: Love

Band Members:
Zach Guitar/Vox A junior-in-college standby, and current Army National Guard soldier. His driving force is the idea of, not only the band, but a project that will one day reach out to helpless families overseas in areas like Darfur and Sudan, Africa. “I lived in a gloomy place for a long time and I could’ve walked a path much darker than this. I chose to emerge from my past and know that there is a great future ahead. Bold actions must be taken, we must go against the grain. In an incendiary way, I am actually looking to be selfless in my actions, considering my self-centeredness was always my biggest flaw. Instead of looking at it as ‘What can this band do for me, it’s now what can I do for this band and how can I build off of it to reach out to people and places that need help.’ I am no saint, by any means, signing up for the Army in 2008 was my first act of selflessness, now I’m searching for another avenue.”

Wayne Drums/Vox Light-hearted, and ready to turn any moment into a funny scene, he comes committed and ready to join his brother, Zach’s, side. The two have been in the music scene since they were both very young, in and out of various bands waiting for the one major roster to finally line up. “This is a project like no other! It’s definitely what I’ve wanted to do all along. Sometimes, simplicity is key. This shows that great music is not always complex. This is the only thing I want, this is going to take everything I’ve worked for to a whole new level. Define Love showed me how to open my mind, accept new ways of doing things. Basically, it breaks up the monotony of being one thing, or sticking to a particular style. To me this is more than a band, it’s a family that welcomes new-comers aka our audience. I want this music to be an escape for everyone, old or young, troubled or happy. Without being cheesy, I want to really connect with people on a whole different level. I want our music to inspire. We all hear, ‘You can always do or be what you want’ often and these words leave our mind, for some reason we settle for less. We give up and accept normal. Define Love is a stand, proving that you can do or be whatever you want.”

Alex Guitar Formerly taught by Zach over five years ago, Alex brings a new dimension to the band’s writing abilities. Currently a college freshmen, he is looking for more than a simple degree and mediocre 9 to 5 job. “I am really excited to be in this band I have known Wayne and Zach for about 7 years and we have always been good friends. This is the opportunity of a life time playing music for a living, meeting new people every day, and inspiring other people to pick up instruments and learn how to play them. We will be able to spread messages to the world through our music. We will be making people laugh, cry, love, and feel an array emotions just through our music, and that’s not something that everyone will get to do in their life time.

Tim Bass Started playing bass when he was only thirteen years old. Also, plays just about every instrument known to man, to include the skin flute. Works a full time job and still makes time for Define Love. “I am insanely excited to be in a band with these guys. We used to play back in the day together in small indie bands. I am just looking to play music and fulfill my passion.”
