Description:
TNT is a tribute band dedicated to the sights and sounds of the legendary rock band AC/DC. TNT was formed in late 2003 with highly skilled musicians from the Charleston, SC surrounding area who would serve as the important supporting cast for the act. In 2004, the act came alive and caused a huge North American buzz amongst hardcore AC/DC fans. In 2005, lineup changes took place to take TNT to the next level, even according to skilled original members.
Band Members:
Rob Liotti, the bands founding member and Bon Scott sound alike, recruited prolific jazz guitarist James Slater for the role of Angus Young. Slater has a degree in music and runs a well known school for aspiring guitarists in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Liotti did a double-take when he noticed the skills of former Nashville drummer Tommy Mattox. Mattox had been touring with Aaron Tippin and Dionne Warwick and was now eager to take on a new role as Phil Rudd.
Next, Liotti recruited NY natives Matt and Derek Flewelling to fill out the rythem section for the group. Derek has and extreme likeness to Mark Evans and Matt has the uncanny ability to mimic the exact moves of Malcome Young while maintaining perfect rythem and back-up vocals. Matt has been playing guitar for most of his life and has been in numerous bands. Derek is a highly skilled bass player and is regarded as one of the best in the region.
