Description:
Acoustic Shu is a self taught loopologist, with a melting pot of influences. Gaining recognition at the age of 18, he began sitting in with local bands in the central Ohio area. Shortly after his skills matured, he began booking his own shows in the local bars, restaurants, and pubs skillfully hiding his real age. What really set him apart was his love for the classics. When everyone was playing top 40 radio songs, Shu was showcasing songs that had been around longer than him. After high school he began taking his talent on the road playing anywhere and everywhere he could. His travels have taken him from one corner of the nation to the other, and in doing so, he has broadened his musical spectrum. Showcasing jazz, rock, reggae, tejano, and funk, his style is amorphous and always keeps you guessing.

From the sand covered planks of countless Caribbean beach bars to the smoke stained, whiskey drenched floors of Austin, Texas's historic and famous 6th St., Acoustic Shu has given the standing room only crowds exactly what they came for... To some its an old favorite, to others a string shredding, heart pounding, fast paced rock tune. To others its a melodic ballad, or perhaps some jazz or funk. The fact is Shu has been giving the crowd exactly what they want for years. With his lyrical ingenuity and his guitar mastery he has captivated crowds time and time again keeping those who aren't dancing at the edge of their seats. Armed with hundreds of cover tunes and countless original favorites, Shu can truly cater to any crowd. This childhood phenom has worked diligently to finely tune and perfect his musical abilities over the years into something that simply must be witnessed.
