The Ken Vendette Band

Originating from Fredonia - Dunkirk NY, Ken Vendette has performed with a tireless energy that has systematically drawn audiences with each and every performance since the 1990's. The style, choice, and skill of his act has quickly silenced the most persnickety of critics. His location has allowed him to perform amidst many other bands in and around the area. Excited, Ken has enticed many repeat shows and has recently made connections and played shows In Clarksville and Nashville Tennessee.

Originally inspired years ago by such bands as; Guns N Roses, Metallica, Tool (this genre) Ken began playing guitar in the hard rock / metal category that it gave him an advantage being that it is a difficult and complex style. This gave him the upper hand to learn more simplistic and universal styles.

In 2003 Ken joined and fronted a band called "3 Days Old" (a band that had been established in the local area for about 6 years). Ken brought a new diversity to the bands existing sound and it proved to be quite an explosive compilation. The band had much success [such as 2004's 5th. place in Buffalo's Sony / Emergenza battle of the bands and a number of huge attended shows all over Western NY.

Realizing his true talent and the fact that bands rarely stay together, Ken decided to stick with his solo career and it has proved to be a winning decision. Knowing that he had been the main writer in all the bands he had been involved with, it seemed obvious to stick to doing the best thing for his career (Which was to stay solo) and hire a Tour Band when needed.

Since the spring of 2005 Ken has been performing solo with an outstandingly diverse set list of originals that ranges from Acoustic Rock, to an Experimental influence in an Alternative twist. He seems to please audiences of all ages and tastes. Looking for a new spin on things he dug deeper to other roots and found himself being influenced by such bands as The Beatles, The Goo Goo Dolls, Led Zeppelin and others making his show and style more universal. Ken has taken siege over the local area and has now found Charlie Kuell of Kastlecreek Entertainment (Management) to take him out on the road starting in 2007. Along with many accomplishments made such as; Radio airplay at various areas in Western NY and opening for well known acts, he has had the most success with his solo career thus far and keeps on escalating. Ken has only been pursuing this career professionally since the spring of 2003 and it has proved to be a rewarding full time job with promise for big time success.

Ken has been recording his own original music since 2000 giving him 4 original cds under his belt (Exhausted with Passion, Abstract Acoustics, Oceans of Chaos 8t Under this Illusion). Ken has 182 Originals written to date. His latest, a 19 song Cd (Gemini Sunrise / Gemini Moonrise), was Independently released in October 2006. This latest cd is definitely the best of his work, half being acoustic and the other being more hard rock to show his unique diversity. On these Cds he has invited local Western NY musicians to record with him.
