Description:
Waco, Texas' up and coming vocalist interprets jazz and blues favorites and defines new standards. Lorna has refused to limit herself to one style of music but the blues are always in the thread of every song. Her live performances win new converts to this fusion of blues, rock, swing and jazz. She can move from spicy rhythms into the moodiness of love lost, continuing the tradition of singers who understand the power of phrasing.
If you love your music red hot, if you love your music blue, come out and hear Lorna perform live. Her passion is to have fun, make great music and leave the audience feelin' good with the blues!
Band Members:
Lorna Willhelm is a blues/jazz singer based in Waco, Texas. Although a newcomer to the music scene she has developed a reputation as “the little gal from Texas with the great big voice.” Her influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Michelle Willson, Lou Ann Barton, Mel Torme, Willie Mae Thornton, and Sugar Ray Norcia.
