Description:
Pangaea was founded in June of 2009 by two musicians dedicated to music and the arts; Michael John Seal and Tyler Nierendorf. The goal of Pangaea is simple: to provide a sanctuary for artists and musicians both creatively and structurally. In the nearly 5,000 square foot establishment, musicians can rehearse and record on a tight budget, and perform music for live audiences on the Pangaea Soundstage. Artists exhibit the fruit of their labors in the art gallery portion of the facility, and are encouraged to paint murals on the structure walls. In short, creative people of any craft can meet, share, and display with creative peers, friends, family, and anyone else curious enough to wander into a Pangaea event.

Officially opened in March of 2010 after multiple changes in design, one change in location, hundreds of emails and telephone calls and thousands of hours of construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction, Pangaea is open at full operating ability. Currently, the facility contains rehearsal rooms, an art gallery section, and a live stage for musician performances.

In the coming months, audio recording will become available for showcases, rehearsal sessions, and the production of studio recordings. Pangaea also hopes to integrate video recording capabilities so live performances may be captured and reviewed by the artist or used as a promotional tool. Art exhibitions could benefit from documentation on video, too, and serve as a valuable tool for seeking exhibit at other galleries.

Pangaea hopes to go public while continuing to build on the solid foundation established with a little blood, sweat, and tears, and a LOT of heart and soul. The goal remains the same: to create a community of musicians and artists welcome regardless of experience, wealth, technical ability, or any ideas about talent.
