Corey Parker is a quadruple threat, Singer/Songwriter/FrontMan/MC, with solid skills at all positions. Maceo Parker's son & 10 year member of his father's band possesses a "Prince-esque" bandleading style & a Native Brooklynite rhythmic flow, with a tight, all-original material, "stop on a dime," Rhythm & Grooves (R&G) Band & soulful, harmonizing vocalists.

Son of Music Legend from NC to Headline Funk Fest Raleigh -- Raleigh, NC -- April 29, 2005 -- Corey Parker, (son of NC sax legend, Maceo Parker), and his tight, 6-piece funk unit will headline Funk Fest @ Martin Street Music Hall on Friday, May 6. The night should be filled with funky music, as the 3 bands (Corey Parker Band, Dread 34 & Tread) plan to jam into morn. Over the past few months, Corey and his band have been joined on stage by his father, when he's not out on the road with Prince, so there could be some surprises at Funk Fest!
