For roughly the past four decades punk and its bands have been invading the music scene, and with each passing year the heart and soul of punk has slowly diminished. There are few bands that have been able to hold their own; there own sound, their own style and most importantly, their own passion for the music. This is My Lucky Day. A hard working punk band from Colorado who doesn’t have to try to be themselves, they just are!
My Lucky Day has been compared to bands such as Blink 182, the All American Rejects, Mxpx and even Nofx, however, they refuse to be thrown into such a specific genre as punk. Joe explains, “We love the music we write and the fans that listen! There are to many categories that people try to stick us into and as long as that doesn’t limit us as artists and performers I don’t care how they describe our music. We are a pop-punk band by genre but a punk rock and roll band by heart; we write what we feel and play what we love. We are who we are!”
My Lucky Day puts on one of the most energetic shows today. These guys love the crowd and anyone that will listen to their music. They will make you laugh and cry while influencing you to rock out. They have a passion for the music and realize that a song has a huge impact on the world today, that is why every song they write comes from the heart and every beat comes from the friendship of three guys in a band!
They truly are who they are and love every second of it!!
