Description:
Renascent formed in the summer of 2005. Greg and Brandon discovered each others talents while at a friends house. This led to the recording of their first cd, Rhyme for the Summertime, under the name Grandon. The band name soon changed to Renascent, and more recording followed. Dickey Serino had performed with Greg and Brandon in Nov 2006 after listening to their music from a mutual friend. By the end of the summer 2007 Dickey had become an official member of Renascent. Riley, the brother of Dickey now plays drums for Renascent at all of their live performances. All recorded tracks are of Brandon and Greg only but Renascent anitcipates recording a professional EP with the full band in the near future.

Renascent writes, performs, records, and produces all of their music. Renascent currently has over 50 original recorded tracks spanning across 4 albums.

Band Members:
Greg Parlin - Lead Vocals and Guitarist for the band. Greg grew up in Vassalboro, Maine, never was even interested in playing music until the end of his senior year of high school when Greg wanted to play a Dave Matthews song for the talent show. So he picked up a guitar for the first time and found some tabs on the internet. In about two weeks he had "mastered" the song grey street, and the talent show went really well. After the show, Greg put the guitar back down and didn't pick it up again for a few months. Greg was just itching to perform live again so he decided to learn and understand how to play guitar and sing. His abilities have grown immensely and has since been a stalwart in the Southern Maine acoustic scene.

Brandon Dow - Lead Guitar and Vocals - Grew up in Windsor, ME and started playing the guitar in 7th grade. Took lessons for a few years but was never overly serious about playing until after the highschool. However, Brandon wrote many of the songs from Rhyme for the Summertime and a couple from The Best Yet during high school. In college, Brandon has been writing and playing non stop.

Dickey Serino - Bassist - Dick grew up in Yarmouth, ME. He has been playing guitar since he was 15 and started playing bass for a band in high school. He met Brandon and Greg through mutual friends who knew Renascent was looking for a dank bassist. Dick loves to play music and perform live, you can catch up at the Orono scene playing bass for his other band, Funk Thrust.

Riley Serino - Drums - Riley grew up in Yarmouth, ME and is the younger brother of Dick. He has been playing drums for almost a year and seems to be a prodigy in the making. Dick suggested Riley to play drums with Renascent for their next few concerts. After the first show, it was obvious Riley was a great fit for the band and Renascent looks forward to Kicking Ass all over Maine.
