Description:
Born in a Northern Illinois factory town in mid-1996, Squared Off has brought punk rock back to Chicagoland! The band has survived several line-up changes and a long hiatus while still keeping their vitality. Now eight years later, Jose "Hoser" Villarreal (guitar/vocals), Ryan Leavitt (bass/vocals), and Joe Weiss (drums/vocals) are invading the Chicago punk scene full force! Their brand of gritty sing-a-long punk rock songs have made a bold statement from Northside pubs to Southside clubs. While vocalizing their feelings on issues about government, blue collar concerns and the solidarity of family and friends, Squared Off has managed to keep their music fresh, catchy and fun. Squared Off has released several demos and recently recorded an 8 song E.P. (Available through Carrotop Distribution.) The Self titled E.P. was recorded in the true punk Do It Yourself Fashion and was produced and mastered by the band themselves. With their grass roots punk rock attitude and professional demeanor, Squared Off is ready to take on the rest of the world.
