+ASCENT TO POWER+ is a heavyweight contender in the Maine METAL scene and has been since 2010. Rising up alongside such great local acts as UncleJack, Twisted Roots, Terrible Old Man, and Spawn Of Man, as well as Portland’s Sidecar Radio, Whitcomb, Shabti and Ruin. +A.T.P+ has aggressively grown their fan base, both online and in-the-flesh, with relentless grass roots promotion and by organizing their own festivals and live shows. In August 2011 +A.T.P+ started their own Central Maine Music and Art Festival which incorporates both visual artists and bands together as one for a two day event. Appearing at the 2011 festival were 20+ Maine bands from throughout the state and at night culminated first with Victory Records artsist The Bunny The Bear and Dr. Acula along with Platinum Recording artist Sponge on day 2. Over 2 years, +A.T.P+ has had the privilege to play packed venues as tour support for national bands MUSHROOMHEAD / Hed PE on their Hed2Head tour 1 & 2, UNEARTH / SUICIDE SILENCE during their Mayhem Festival Tour, All Shall Perish, Texas Hippie Coalition, Red Fang, American Head Charge, Kittie and more! In August 2011 +A.T.P+ released their 2 song EP featuring tracks engineered by Gary Hibbard of ToneZone Studio including “New Declaration of Independence” and “Zombie Apocalypse”. The EP received radio play through out New England on commercial and college stations such as WTOS, WRBC, BONE Radio, WMPG, and online at REVERBNATION.COM/ASCENTTOPOWER. In January of 2012, +A.T.P+ released their first video put together by Anne B of Musical Mayhem for their single “New Declaration of Independence" , and after kicking it off with a Live USTREAM band broadcast, it has received 1000’s of plays online. Metalheads can find it on Youtube, Vimeo and REVERBNATION, and on public access metal shows throughout New England. +Ascent To Power+ has restructured for 2012 and is pushing their music farther throughout the country, continuing with their strong grass roots promotion and strong determination and motivation to ultimately bring their Full Metal Dominance brand of METAL to the MASSES!
