Jazzy and soulful, Dr. E is not only an incredible recording artist, she is also an Ohio State University professor and much sought after author and motivational speaker.
Her current project includes the release of her independent album "Elevated" which is scheduled for an album release party on July 25, 2010 at Vonn Jazz in Columbus. A portion of the proceeds from the release party will benefit the Cynthia B. Dillard preschool of Mpeasem, Ghana.
"Elevated" is a full-length recording album consisting of music crossing the genres of soul, jazz, and R&B.
The album will be released July 25th, 2010 at Vonn Jazz.

Dr. E is a Columbus resident and professor of Literacy Studies at The Ohio State University. In addition to being a scholar, Dr. E is a singer and songwriter whose powerhouse vocals blend classic soul and smooth jazz with an inspirational message of empowerment and the search for self love in her newest album
Dr. E is mother to three daughters and mentor to Black women and youth focusing on Black empowerment and higher education. She strives to use her voice to reach people who might be down, but not out.
Dr. E's current book, PGD 2 PhD, is a memoir about her experiences in the street life and her journey to the university. Through sharing her story, Dr. E encourages young girls and women that no matter where you're from, you can achieve your dreams!
Dr. E is a much sought after motivational speaker as well as educational consultant. Her topics range from Black Women’s voices, Hiphop Feminism, Literacy and African American Education.
