Description:
Rising out of the ashes of the grunge/hard rock era, Devils Under the Influence blends the old sound of grunge with a new rock twist. Frontman, D.Razr, had been involved in the music scene for awhile with other bands and could not find one that fit the sound he envisioned. Longing for the sound of the rock music he grew up with, he started Devils Under the Influence and began writing material. He then stumbled upon Full Force Entertainment. Together, they recorded D.U.I.'s debut EP, Apocalyptic Smile. All that was needed were talented, driven musicians to bring it all to life! In mid 2007, Junior was named the permanent drummer and Thumper the permanent bassist. Now that the puzzle was complete, Devils Under the Influence was ready to get out and show the world THEIR brand of rock! Some of D.U.I.'s major accomplishments have been playing Faded Fest at the Matrix, winning 1st place in Supernova's Battle of the Bands Pittsburgh, playing the Rex Theater and the Shadow Lounge to name a small few. Enter A&R Mike Admani. He was at the Rex Theater show and was so impressed with the young rockers, he decided to represent them and help them in thier meteoric rise to the top! Now that the new lineup is locked and loaded, D.U.I. is ready to roll over the nation. With their guitar-shredding sound and in your face attitude, Devils Under the Influence are looking to put Pittsburgh back on the map and prove to everyone that hard rock is not dead!

NEW FANSITE LAUNCH!!

What's up, everyone? So today's the day! We're letting some pretty big cats of our bag today. 1st and foremost, today is the day we unveil our new fansite! This site will be a one stop, D.U.I. shop for everything you could possibly want to know, have, hear, or see. It has a merch store link (that works) so all of our tickets and merch is just a click away now. It has a gig schedule, so you can stay up to date on where we're at and when. One of the coolest features is a D.U.I. forum where you can post about anything you want! There's a section to talk to us directly, there's a fan section, news section, etc. I could go on all day here, you'll have to see it for yourself. The link will be posted up today, so be sure to look for it and swing by and visit. Be sure to sign the guestbook too! We can't wait to see what everyone thinks about the new site, as we're pretty pumped about it. Let us know what you think!

Also, we're announcing 2 new show dates for Oct. We'll be playing Hundred Acre Manor's Haunted House on Oct. 1st and the Fright Farm in Smithfield on Oct. 3rd! These are 2 huge events for us, so we hope to see a lot of our fans out and supporting that night. We'll be hangin out afterwards too to check out the haunted house and join in the festivities, so don't be shy, come by and say hi! As you can see, Oct will be a busy month for us, and we're looking forward to every minute of it! Don't forget, we're now running our open stage at Vi's in Vandergrift on Wed nights now. So if you wanna break up the monotony of your week, come down, drink and jam with us! We'd love to have ya!

So in closing, we wanna thank everyone who's really been pushing us hard these past couple months. Our A&R, Mike Admani. Without him, half of this stuff wouldn't be happening for us. Tacoshell Design, you guys have been doing great work for us, we really appreciate all your help. Fans and friends everywhere, you all keep us going. Your constant support and love is what makes us look forward to the next day. This isn't an easy business whatsoever. Anyone who thinks it is, you try it. But with fans like ours, even the hardest times are nothing, and the great times? Well, it's unexplainable. We love every single one of you. Please keep your love coming!

On a side note, at a recent show, we had a fellow who wanted to get fresh with Thump. This schmuck thought it was cool to try to start a fight while we were playing. Now there was a whole debate on who started what, but this guy came up and hit Thump while he was playing. He was bombed and had his beer muscles kicking. He thought Thump was hitting on his wife, which he clearly wasn't. There was no need for that. We don't try to start anything with anyone. We don't pick fights with our fans (unless you're an asshole like this guy) We just go out, get fucked up, and play music. That's it. So in regards to this asshole, all we gotta say to you is this: You better hope we don't see you again, douchebag! Next time, we'll make sure Thump fucks your wife!

Much love!

Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well and enjoying the onset of fall, football, and the money spending season. We're just beginning our 3 week downswing for Sept/Oct. We're taking some time off from playing shows for awhile while Junior has his baby. So what are we going to do to entertain ourselves, one might ask? Well, we'll be busy with so many other things, it won't seem like a break at all!

First of all, as many of you already know, we'll be starting our Battle of the Bands competition this coming Fri at Kopec's. All the bands schedules are listed in our blog, if you haven't read it, please do it soon! We're looking forward to doing this, as it's a great chance for us to give back some of the good things that've come our way. We can't wait to meet all of the bands and hear all of their music! It's a 3 week competition, so we'll still be out listening to music.

Also, we convinced Junior to play Faded Fest again this fall at the Matrix in Station Square. It's on Sept. 28th this time and we're gonna be there in full effect! Even though it's right in the middle of expectancy time, we still can't get this guy to slow down! You can buy our tickets online at our merch store. The link is www.devilsunder.webs.com You'll have to copy and paste it, but the tickets will be on there for you to purchase, only $10 a piece! It's an all ages show, so be sure to let everyone know so they can have a chance to come see us!

We'll also be busy with our new Open Stage Nights at Vi's in Vandergrift, which are now on Wed. It's still FREE to come down and jam out with us. We provide all the equipment, you bring your own guitars. NO EXCEPTIONS!! This will be going on every Wed in Sept and starts at 9:30. Don't miss a chance to break up the week with some beers and tunes!

So you see, break time isn't exactly how it sounds around here. That's our idea of slowing down. Not very slow, huh? More like a rolling stop at a stop sign. Oh, also there's some new things brewing on the horizon! We have a tentative itunes release date! We don't wanna disclose it quite yet, we don't wanna be that band who pushes release dates back. When it's set in stone, you'll know. Also, we still have a fan site in the works. A few more finishing touches and it'll be ready for unveiling! We also have a show up our sleeves for the 1st week of Oct. We're not releasing any details yet due to tentative changes, but make sure you're available that week. Think Devils, think Halloween. That's the only clue we're giving, damn it! Also, be sure to sign up for our newsletter. Anyone who signs up for it and sends us a copy of our newsletter back to our email address will be able to purchase Faded Fest 4 (Sept. 28th) tickets for 40% off! That's a great deal considering the only thing you're giving for the discount is a monthly slot in your inbox to us! Also, newsletter recipients get discounts on shows, tickets, merch, etc. So sign up on our main page NOW!!!

Well folks, that's about it for now. Gotta go stock up on the Captain Morgan and other party accessories, as break time means time to take it easy!! We hope to see you all soon at one of our upcoming appearances and keep rockin!

D.U.I.

What's up, world? As we've mentioned before, we have all the bands for our battle of the bands. The bands have been waiting on their schedule and we're posting it up right here! All bands that are in the battle should look at this schedule and see what night you are playing so you can tell your fans what night to come. The schedule is as follows:

Sept. 19th: DogBite, Plan of Action, Train Arms

Sept. 27th: Model Class Citizens, Acidface, Cant' Remember

The bands are in no particular order, we'll decide the order you play the night of your show by your ticket sales (i.e. most tickets sold picks their slot 1st, so on and so on) so don't worry if you don't like the order we've listed you in. We want to wish all of the bands the best of luck and are really looking forward to the Battle, as it will be a fun time! If there are any questions or concerns, get at us on our email (listed at the bottom of our myspace page) and let us know.

Also, we have a new fansite in the works. There's still a few kinks to iron out, but we're looking to have it up very soon! It'll be a little bit more intimate than our myspace page and will have some cool ass features as well. Stay tuned for more info. Also, we're still anticipating our itunes release date. As soon as we hear something, you'll be the 1st to know. We're looking forward to our little break here in Sept and are gearing up for what is looking to be a very busy Oct! We have 2 Halloween parties, some out of town shows, and a big surprise gig for the begining of Oct that we'll be posting the details here for very soon! We're looking forward to meeting a bunch of new people and fans and doing what we do best, FUCKIN ROCKIN!! So check back often, as we have a lot to tell in the next few weeks! Thanks to all, much love, and keep rockin!
