Aware that press kits and demos are a dime a dozen, we do things a little different. To keep it short, sweet, and to the point, we are a local band from Portland Oregon. We are a 3 piece consisting of ; Nick Orr- Guitar/vocals Josh Orr- Bass/backup Duncan Allen-Percussion Our music is refreshing and original, as expressed in our demo, which is nothing compared to what we can pull off live. In a whirlwind town of horrendous vocals and poor standards, we shine through with a different approach. We are all members and ex-members of various bands; some good, some bad. This is a project that started out being “related material” to our endeavors in the past….a compilation of years of suppressed music and lyrics. Our Mission; If you enjoy the demo, we would love your support. We are trying to expand our Music to all groups and ages, and we have so far had great reviews from our fans.(no, not just our friends!) We are currently looking for new venues to play in all towns around Portland. We are always willing to fill last minute slots if available, so if a band cancels, give us a call. We play for the sake of the music, not to promote an image. We are just three guys who love to jam and have the talent to do so well. Band Members:
Nick Orr is guitar and vocals. He is completely dedicated to his instrument, and has fantastic riffs and jams. You would think there are two guitarists....he was raised in Portland, plays in another band, Defend the Cage, and has played in many past ands, including First in Line. Nick is 29, and he collects biological specimens.
Josh Orr, Nick's brother was also raised in portland, got his first bass at 14, let it go awhile, and picked it up anew for First in Line with Nick. We had a sound, but not quite what we were looking for...until Related Material came along...josh is 32, and a carpenter
Then Duncan Allen came along, the fantastic drummer from North Carolina. He also plays in Defent the Cage, but joined our trio to make some sounds of greatness. Duncan is 23, and he hates scenes, so NO SCENESTERS!!!
