Description:
Land Mynd is an unsigned metal band which hails from the Uniontown area of southwestern Pennsylvania. Influenced by such artists as Pantera, Godsmack, and Black Label Society, they have formed a unique sound that fuses the grunginess of the 90's with a classic rock feel and a heavy metal edge. With songs that touch such topics as death, insanity, and mythology, the music of Land Mynd is like a good acid trip gone bad. So bad that it's downright scary...yet irresistible. One fan posted an online review of a 2006 Land Mynd show, saying "(Land Mynd) show more of their musicianship rather than just making a bunch of mosh pit anthems." Another person at a recent show who claimed to be Land Mynd's biggest fan simply said "It's good music to listen to when you're high." Since their formation in 2004, Land Mynd have released three self recorded demos; "Under Arrest" in 2004, "Insanity Awakens" in 2005, and "Live At Club 62" in 2006. They also made their local radio debut in 2006 when they were featured on Power 92's radio show "The Street Fight." Now in 2007, Land Mynd continues to push themselves to the top. Their music can be heard on many compilation CD's and several radio stations (both traditional FM radio and internet radio). This past April the band recorded their first studio album at 10-34/Goldirock Studios in Uniontown, PA and finished the mixing and mastering process of the CD on July 5th. Although the finished project, entitled "Deceased Peace" will not hit local music store shelves until mid 2008 when inlays and artwork have been printed, CD-Rs are currently available at most of their live shows. After Deceased Peace is officially released next year, the band will begin seeking out record labels.
Band Members:
The band consists of Jon Piechowicz (lead guitar/vocals), Brandon Lynch (rhythm guitar/vocals), Chris Cirillo (bass guitar), and Curt Cirillo (drums), all of which are life long friends. In their free time they are most likely to be drinking beer around their local firepit.
