Description:
DUSTIN GARRETT & THE TEXAS CRUISERS
Fiery lead solos in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan and scintillating blues riffs ala B.B. King punctuate the critically-acclaimed performances of singer-songwriter, Dustin Garrett. Performing on stage since he was 5 years old, Dustin has already acquired an impressive list of performance venues to be envied by seasoned musicians, including The Grand Ole Opry and the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was a guest singing artist at age 10. Born in Waylon Jennings’ hometown of Littlefield, Texas, Dustin mastered classic rock ‘n’ roll and country music early on. His first album “There’s A Party Tonight” (the title track, an original song by Dustin and Mike Garrett) recorded in Lubbock, Texas, featured songs of Buddy Holly. Dustin performs with the excitement of youth and the energy of an atomic bomb. He can’t touch a guitar without making heads turn. Dustin is also a member of ASCAP.
Dustin Garrett & The Texas cruisers are sure to engage and entertain any crowd. Their mix of Texas blues, classic rock, and contemporary country satisfies the most demanding musical appetites. Fore more information or for bookings, please call (806) 891-4832.

Band Members:
Truly atypical for a musician of Dustin’s age is his band, The Texas Cruisers. Formed in 1999, the band includes Mike “Barney” Garrett on rhythm guitar, Joe “Rick” Kline playing bass guitar, and Brett “Mike and Ike” Aiken on drums. As a singer-songwriter, Mike Garrett (Dustin’s father) has played guitar and performed since 1979. His consistent rhythm tracks are the gravitational force around which the Texas Cruisers’ sound revolves. The musical foundation of the Texas Cruisers sound are the pulse-pounding bass lines of Joseph Kline, a songwriter (ASCAP), music producer, motorcycle safety instructor, college teacher, and attorney. Brett Aiken’s high-powered percussion is the driving force for the Texas Cruisers band. Brett is theater arts major and has appeared in lead roles on stage and in theater productions for many years, including a recent tour with Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
