Description:
The band's sound, dubbed by some as "blues/groove" and "neo-psychedelic, " is a melting pot of countless musical influences. Touches of late 1960's Brit-Rock, 70's rock 'n' roll, Motown soul, Chicago and Delta Blues, old-school country and improvisational jazz are all tied together by an infectious 3-piece groove that only this combination of musicians can produce, resulting in a unique sound all their own. Following in the footsteps of fellow Tennesseans and mainstream success story, Mt. Juliet's Kings of Leon, MDE are building a name for themselves in the Southeast and North-Central U.S. as well as parts of Europe. Recently signed to a promotional agreement with Mersey, England-based Chromium Records, MDE have gained airplay and attention with "Last Time (I Got a Feeling)." This song is also included on Chromium's "Innovation," a compilation album featuring up-and-coming artists from around the world.

The new Mellow Down Easy album, "Brothers Of The Left Hand Path" is now available online.
The band will be throwing a CD RELEASE PARTY at legendary Nashville music venue, 3rd & Lindsley on Thursday May 12 at 9:00 P.M. with special guests, Nashville funksters, Motivational Speakers. Admission will be $5.00 OR you can pay $10 to get in AND receive a copy of the new CD, as well as free merchandise at the door.
Mellow Down Easy has just signed a deal with U.K. based Indie Label, Chromium Records. Look for much more to come from this in 2005 including an upcoming European tour. Also, the band will be featured on a Bands from Around The World compilation with MDE's song, "The Last Time (I Got A Feeling)" representing the US and Nashville, TN.
