Music types: Rock, Jazz/Blues
Description:
Hot (adj)- high in thermal energy. Lick (noun)- a higher pitched melody or memorable part on a guitar solo. That's for everyone who doesn't understand our name.

We are a blues rock band that will be coming to a venue near you soon. We are four musicians motivated to take down the crap that rules todays radio waves. We have been together as a band for about 9 months. We are playing any gigs. We have about 15 original songs in the works, and a cover list of about 10. It's only a matter of time until we show the world what the revolution in music really is.

Band Members:
Paul Monnin-lead vocals, guitar, bass Dan Spaugy-guitar, bass, Matt Spaugy-guitar, bass, Matt Dutro-drums

Biography- Dan and Matt S. are twin brothers, Paul is a long time friend of them, Matt D. is a friend of the three.

Dan- I have been playing guitar for over 4 years. Modern rock got me into playing but soon I got into classic rock and later blues. When I write songs, musically i look to my influences. For words my biggest inspiration is life. Guitars: Fender Strat(seymour duncan pickups), Fender Highway 1 Tele, and Gibson Les Paul Studio DC. Amp: Crate GX65 Musical Influences: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, SRV, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, All blues players (Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Taj Mahal etc.) and about every other good classic rock band. Fav Albums: Hendrix "Are You Experienced" Stevie Ray Vaughan "Live at the Montreux" Led Zeppelin II. Neil Young "Live Rust" Jeremiah Freed "Slowburn"

Paul-I have been playing for about a year and a half. I was heavily influenced by Matt and Dan. They showed me modern rock, classic rock, and blues; and they later introduced me to the guitar. Guitars: Fender Stratocaster (part 60s, part 90s). That's all...more coming soon. Amp: I play through a Crate GX65 Musical Influences: My influences come from classic rock, blues and 90s alternative. As far as guitar goes my most prominent influences are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Paige and Hendrix. I was actually inspired to play in the first place by Matt and Dan. Vocal Influences: I love Chris Robinson, Walt Lafty (Silvertide), Anthony Kiedis, Josh Todd (Buckcherry) and Robert Plant Favorite Albums: Derek and the Dominoes "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs", Stevie Ray Vaughan "The Sky Is Crying", Red Hot Chili Peppers "Californiacation"(my first rock CD), ACDC "High Voltage", Silvertide "Show and Tell"

Matt Spaugy- I have been playing guitar for 4 years. I am really into blues and blues driven music. A few of my first influences were Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Soundgarden. Later I got into bands like the Rolling Stones, the Faces, the Black Crowes and basically any other classic rock or blues artists. Guitars: Early 80s Fender Strat, Fender Nashville Telecaster, Epiphone LP Amp: Fender Deluxe 90 Guitar Influences: Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Mick Taylor, Rich Robinson and Marc Ford (Black Crowes), Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Favorite Cds: Rolling Stones "Exile On Main Street" and "Sticky Fingers," Led Zeppelin III, Black Crowes "Shake Your Money Maker" and "The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion"

Matt Dutro- I've played drums now for over 5 years. Since I joined the drumline at school I've most definitely improved my chops. I can play guitar and bass but I'm not super great. I like alot of the classic rock, blues, most modern rock, and a little funk here and there. I have a Sunlite 5 piece set but I just purchased a Pearl Export 9-Piece. Favorite Bands: Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Metallica, Journey, Guns N' Roses, and ZZ Top. I consider Lars Ulrich and John Bonham to be the best two drummers ever. Lars for his insanely quick feet, and John for his ability to keep a solo going for 20 min.

BASS RIG- Dan, Matt S. and Paul play bass. Bass: Epiphone, not quite sure what model or year, looks like an Embassy from the 70s or 60s. Amp: Harke Kickback 12
