Description:
Since 2001, alternative hardcore band Simplekill has been making a name for themselves all around their native state of Florida and is currently regarded as one of the top drawing bands in their hometown. Comparable to Poison the well & Killswitch Engage with a dash of Nonpoint & Linkin Park, this 5 piece melodic/hardcore band includes an abrasive metal sound combined with melodic catchy choruses. On their upcoming 2004 EP titled “A Novel in May”; the band tried a new approach with lead vocalist Panjo handling all the screams and aggressive vocals while drummer Jon Sperry sings the catchy melodic choruses. SK has played countless shows all over FL and has shared the stage for several national acts including Blindside, Drowning Pool, Earshot, Coal Chamber, ILL Nino, Clutch, Vision Of Disorder, Mushroomhead, “Don’t Try This at Home” tour featuring Steve-o and others from “Jackass”, Shadow’s Fall, Avenged Sevenfold, Tubring, God Forbid, The Warped Tour, Nonpoint, and 40 Below Summer. They also remaining famous for their numerous shows with hometown heroes Poison the Well, Nonpoint Darwin's Waiting Room, Crossbreed, Endo and more. The single “A Crush in the Color Blue” from the 2004 EP “A Novel In May” is available for download on www.simplekill.com and features the band’s new sound and current direction.
