Area 51

Band Members:
Area 51 has set itself apart from most of the bands in both the Tampa Bay area and on a national level. Straying from trends, while still maintaining a modern sound, Area 51 has created one of the most original and marketable sounds in the past decade. Their various backgrounds range from The Beatles and Pink Floyd to Metallica and Tool. Enriched with a stunning live performance, featuring a full intro and specialized lighting, Area 51 has a stage show that stays in the minds of their audience.

Area 51 regularly plays throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond, always looking for new opportunities to expand. They have appeared in a commercial and as special guests on 102.1 Pirate Radio where their music was in regular rotation. Area 51 has produced their own Tampa Public Access Television series, "A Day in the Life of Area 51," that aired in August of 2001. The series featured the band in a real life environment from recording their demo at U.S.F.'s SYCOM Studios, to partying like rock stars, to playing high energy shows at Tampa (and beyond) bars and clubs. Area 51s website, www.xarea51x.com , featuring visually stimulating HTML and Flash sides created by the band, has received up to 1700 visits in a single month. Area 51 has recently self-produced a new EP "Embryonic". The first single "Mother Culture's Lullaby" has been played twice on Tampa's 98Rock. Most people in the bay area have at least heard the name "Area 51." Through hard work and dedication, Area 51 will continue to strive for success on a national level.
