Description:
"Music is the perfect obsession." With that saying, the music of guitarist Mike Slamer, singer Josh Getz, and bassist Tom DiPietro came together under one banner.

Playing acoustic rock in the vein of Guns N Roses "GnR Lies," Alice in Chains "Jar of Flies" and Black Label Society's "Vol. 6."

Band Members:
Joshua C. Getz. -Lead singer

Josh began singing in a metal band called “Broken Power” at the age of 17. They played together for quite awhile in and around the area, and recorded a few albums together. They, too, broke up because of artistic differences. Josh met Mike one day when arguing over drummers.

Michael "Slammer" Slamer. -Guitars

Having grown up in a music store, Mike has been in the scene all his life. At an early age, Mike never cared much for music, for some odd reason. It wasn’t until he had spent an evening in a local blues club that he was turned onto the guitar. At the age of 12, Mike got his first guitar, a Squire Telecaster. After practicing like a mofo, Mike started various bands that never seemed to go anywhere. When he was 16, he moved to PA and remained bandless for a while. Eventually he joined a hardcore band, “Fiero.” But they broke up due to artistic differences. Mike met Josh in algebra class where they argued about who was a better drummer – Neil Peart or Joey Jordison. That argument is still undecided (psst, its Neil Peart!), but the two musicians hit it off. They got together and recorded the smash hit, “Monroe, Michigan” and the accompanying track, “Great Day.” The two songs were released on the band’s self-titled demo CD. Mike’s guitar influences include such names as Angus Young, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Jimi Hendrix, and Steve Vai.

Tom "Toe-mas-da-P-funk" DiPietro. -Bass

A BRIEF HISTORY OF TOE-MOS-DA-P-FUNK I used to live in nyc (represent) when i was little and had no interest in playing music whatsoever. Well actually I did, like every 9 yr old boy at that time i was obsessed with the band GREEN DAY and wanted to learn to play the Gee-tar so that i can play along to their 3 power chord songs on my own real guitar (woopee). well the crappy new york city school system dosent have enough money for a music program in their schools, and i was too lazy to learn myself. well a year later i moved to PA and was pleased to find out i could join the band or orchestra, so i was like wow thats pretty kickass, and do you know what instrument i took up? no not the guitar. not the skinflute(well now i have quite alot of practice in on that bad boy) but i took up the VIOLIN. yes kiddies, i played the violin for like 3 yrs, then i decided that it was a gay instrument and i was like yo teach, i wanna quit dis an lern da big upright bass, nah mean? so she was like ya and a star was born. so i played that big whale in the school orchestra for like 6 yrs and had no desire to play the electric bass for some odd reason that has still not been revealed to me to this day, then in the 10th grade this senior bass player that i was in the orchestra with (anthony lavdanski) would always play his electric bass and jam with ppl in school, and this kid was crazy, he teared that mofo up. i watched all the slappin crap he did and i was like man i wanna do that. so he told me all these crazy bass players to listen to and i got my first electric bass that christmas. so i sat in my room all day long every day playin the thing, were i honed my crazy slap skills wich gave birth to the song IT. So ya i just around and didnt play with any peeps for like 2 yrs into playing the electric and then i got into this band called "steps to nowhere". I guess you could of classified us as "nu-metal" or "hard rock". we were a band for a year and a half and played tons of shows, some out of state and in the theater of living arts in philadelphia, we made like close to $1000 in that year and a half but we got bored of playin together and kept arguing about how our music should sound so we all just called it quits. well in that year and a half i met this dude named ray who plays drums and besides that band we would jam with ppl at his house every weekend, and we stil do till this day, jam every week without fail, and i think jammin with those dudes let me experiment more and learn to do more stuff spontaneously. jammin is like a whole nother world from bein in a band well anyway i still continue to jam with those guys for like the past 2 yrs and recently i met up with mike who plays guitar, and josh, this kick ass singer. they had a little acoustic duo goiong on and i was like yo doggies i can play acoustic bass guitar for u guys if u want so they gave me there cd to learn some songs and add basslines to and they were like yo son u pretty kick ass welcome aboard, and so for like the past 2 months we've been playing together, writing new songs, preparing to go to the studio to record our cd, and also have played out a few shows were we record some live sets. so ya thats the extremely poorly writtin history of toe mos da pfunk.

...Thank you Tom, for that seriously horrible grammar-ridden history.
