Description:
Death Do Us Part is a metalcore band from Littleton, CO, which was formed in October of 2003. Death Do Us Part is just trying to have a great time making great music. Death Do Us Part is not about money or fame, they are more interested in thier fans, and playing in front of great audiences.
Their sound is a mix of brutal drums, insane guitar riffs, and edgy vocals, blended together to make a very raw, harmonic, fast moving sound that engulfs you in a world of love, hate, and sorrow.
Death Do Us Part takes pride in thier stage show, which has been described as "Amazing," and "Very Energetic." Having just released thier first demo, consisting of five amazing songs, they're gaining a large fanbase in Colorado, and Littleton especially.
A truly "friends since the beginning, friends 'til the end" type band, Death Do Us Part is not likely to be short lived, and they will probably have a long, great time ahead of them.
Band Members:
The band is fronted by lead singer Bo Burbank, a great metalcore singer, and a truly gifted lyricist. The guitarists, James Nelson and Chris Schafer, both have different strongpoints. James, having more of a hardcore background, brings a lot of the emotional anthemistic sounding riffs to the band. Chris, however, is more of a Slayer and Metallica type metal guitarist, and brings amazing solos and a lot of the faster, more powerful riffs to the band. Together their sounds fuse into a well blended mixture of metal and hardcore. MJ, the band's drummer, has been playing since the age of 9. Raised from bands such as Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera, he has a strong presence when behind the drums. His blend of skill with speed is unmatched in the area Death Do Us Part hails from. The bassist for Death Do Us Part, Brad Simoneau, has been self taught how to play the bass from bands like Rancid, AFI, and Iron Maiden. He is certainly a great metalcore bassist. These five members of the band, when put together forms an explosive sound, which is hard not to love.
