Thomas Joseph

Thomas has been writing and performing songs in the Philadelphia area since 2000 and has gathered a loyal group of listeners. With an intense passion for music, Thom paints vivid landscapes with his evocative lyrics and creates a sense of intimacy with listeners. His first EP, She Never Smiles, recorded at Resonant Recordings and produced by Steve LaFashia in 2002, highlights Thom’s artistic diversity. From the haunting, “His Garden of Good and Evil” to the optimistic anthem “Shining,” the disc offers something unique to each listener. “His Garden…” has been featured on 94.1 WYSP’s Loud and Local program.

Since his first gig at Starbucks in 2001, Thomas has performed in coffee houses, bars, and colleges all over Pennsylvania. He played every Thursday at Starbuck’s in Havertown from late 2002 to early 2003 and is frequently featured at St. Joe’s University’s “Hawk Rock Café” in Philadelphia. He was also selected as a featured artist by S.O.M. for their open mic at Mako’s Bar and Grille in 2002. Most recently Thom has been selected as Anti-indusrty.com’s “Artist of the Month” for October and November 2003, and has been playing on a small tour of Border’s Books and Music in the North East. He has also been featured in The Delco Times as an emerging local artist.
