Description:
The future urban rock band Council of the Sun has karismatic beats with cultural rhythms mixed with Inervolt M.C. & Wavelength M.C. and sometimes singer Andrie Iglesias AKA Mishua Drie also producer and cosmic guitarist composer. They have revoltionized what we call hip-hop something like what Outkast has done... In shrort they also have an amazing rhythm section of P-tah on bass.

Band Members:
Mishua Dre - Guitars, Vocals, DJ & Music production Inervolt M.C. - Lead vocals, DJ, & Music production Wavelength MC - Vocals & DJ Ptah - Bass Guitar Drums (optional) In January of 2000, Council of the Sun's debut concert series launched with a unique blend of cultures and musical influences that had never been heard on the Miami music scene, or for that matter, on the world stage. Repping family backgrounds from different countries and sharing a host of musical influences, Council's Meta Hop sound is the most significant voice in underground music today, combining Rap Rock, Hip Hop, D n'B, R n'B, Dub, House, Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton and Jazz.

In just a few years, they have built an impressive venue list including Hard Rock Marley Fest, Miami's famous Tobacco Road and the world-renowned Art Basel Festival playing to live-audiences in the thousands. Nominated in the Miami New Times - 2004 Best of Miami issue - Reader's Poll " Best Electronica Artist & Best New Music Trend ". Their Song " The Way We " from their Debut album has been chosen for the Burdines-Macy's Back 2 School Campaign August 2004. They have also played live on the show The Roof channel MUN2, last year and recently in June 2004, for cable audiences in the millions.

Along the way various performances have helped to catapult the band toward their musical success including a concert in December 2002 with the legendary Afrika Bambaataa. The concert interwove Bambaataa's old school flavor with breakdancing, graffiti contests, and the positive energetic vibes of the Council.

Their debut album 6 Degrees of Culture was reviewed in URB Magazine's W.M.C. edition March 2004 by El Dopa, who had this to say, " ...steppin out of South Florida. They levitate somewhere in between drum n' bass, hip hop and rock, with a latin touch spicing things up sporadically. These cats turn out tight rhymes too...The confluence of multiple styles crafted together like this is the type of creativity & innovation I look for in music. Jahlogik & crew expand the plan with positive messages & excellent production...". Cementing their reign as the hottest upcoming band in the states, fans have come from as far away as Ohio, Los Angeles, New York, and the U.K to see the show in Florida. ------------------------------------ BOOKING CONTACT: ANDRIE IGLESIAS/ARCHY BUENO 305-542-5374 or 786-355-5155 councilofthesun@hotmail.com
