These songs get in your head and heart and never leave. With a dynamite album and powerhouse live shows, this band is already a prominent force on the vibrant South Florida music scene, and poised for broader success...
Band Members:
At once Euro-stylish and U.S. underground, captivating pop-star singer Raquel is the focus of Wednesday's Child. The raven-haired mysterious and lovely waif's beautiful voice emanates sophistication and pop appeal. With mesmerizing delivery of thoughtful, poetic lyrics, Raquel's tones are childlike, yet mature; dark, yet brilliant; heart-warming, yet haunting. Guitarist Jeff Marcus is one of those textural guitar wizards who fascinates listeners with soundscapes and a varied palette of sounds. He plays with taste and style, with a lush blend of crunchy rock tones and dark and evocative washes of sound, with his sights always set on the all-important melodic content of each song. Jeff's sense of melody is evident in all the Wednesday's Child material. Keyboardist Scott Spooner delivers up the lush and warm & rich and dreamy synth pop. Percolating synths, rich strings, and dark pianos weave among grungy loops, setting a sensual backdrop for Raquel's vocal stylings. Hand-picked by producer FORD to recreate Wednesday's Child's immaculate production for the stage, Scott brings a love of synth pioneers like Gary Numan, Human League, Kraftwerk and Trent Reznor to the Wednesday's Child mix. Bassist Vicente Viera knows Wednesday's Child is all about the melody, and his bass playing reflects that philosophy. Meshing with moving synths and crunching guitar, Vicente manages to hold down the bottom, while adding impact and texture to every tune. Vicente does double duty with Wednesday's Child, playing guitar on several songs, adding power, edge, and texture in combination with Jeff's guitar playing. Drummer Daniel Carson, formerly of industrial sensation Purge is a powerful and dynamic drummer who lays down the Wednesday's Child groove with precision, style and finesse. Daniel’s energy is the pulse of Wednesday’s Child.
