Description:
Rising above the tired bar-rock oriented Baltimore music scene, Earthborn is a modern rock band determined to spread the emotion of their music and their message across the globe. With influences ranging from soothing classical to devastating metal, with song writing styles from new emo to straight up rock, Earthborn blends the best of their collective knowledge to form a new breed of music. ccIn the short time that Earthborn has been a band, things have moved faster than most would have anticipated and a following has already begun. With their first release, “Time In Oblivion”, in late August 2003, and numerous club dates played, including opening for national acts ranging from Bile (Mortal Kombat Soundtrack, Strangeland Soundtrack) to Silverstein (Victory Records) at clubs ranging from the Vault to headlining at Fletcher’s, Earthborn is determined to keep venues packed as their record has proven and to keep bringing the world a sound never heard before until they reach the top.
Band Members:
Backing the band, Mike Pritchet delivers powerful, precise, yet groove-oriented beats. His versatility and music background of numerous genres provide Earthborn with their unique song flow. Bassist Troy Nagle and his distinct approach to song writing on his instrument bring the band a rhythm and pulse unheard of from any other band in their genre. Guitarists Jeff Klein and Ted Tyler combine rich harmonies with mind-bending sonic distortion to create a sound that is both brutal and serene. Topping off the lineup is vocalist Ben Guarino. With vocals that can sound sorrowful yet uplifting, hauntingly beautiful yet viciously powerful, he rounds out the Earthborn sound, creating an environment that makes you question and believe all at once. Earthborn’s members all come from live music experience backgrounds in previous bands varying from live radio shows such as 96 Rock’s Local Lix and 98 rock's noise in the basement(baltimore)program to festival oriented shows such as the infamous Wilmer’s Park. All members are continuously submersed in the music world whether it’s Jeff teaching guitar lessons to aspiring musicians or Ted working as an editing and mastering engineer through self-owned OmniSonic Productions alongside master metal engineer Mike Bossier of the renowned Oblivion Studios. All members have in some way given their lives for music, and will always continue to do so.
