Music types: Metal, Rock
Description:
Dedloft crafts contemporary metal that occasionally pulverizes but also lets you up for air. It's intense, churning stuff with some prog-rock flourishes, including a breath of keyboards for atmosphere. They call it groove metal, influenced by such bands as Deftones, Alice in Chains and Pantera. They're from western Erie County,Pa but they don't play country music. Not hardly. Dedloft may be based in North Springfield, near the Pennsylvania/Ohio border, but this five-piece band plays music that's a long way from Conway Twitty or Kitty Wells.

Band Members:
Dedloft features three Baumgardner brothers - Jay{lead vocals}, Mike{guitar, back-up vocals} and Tom{drums} - who are just three years apart in age. The band also includes heavy-duty bassist Dave Kephart and Doug Eaton on keys. The Baumgardners' camaraderie fuels the band.

2-26-04 A big Thank you To Dana and Shannon on 90.3 FM Last night's In-Studio appearance on "The Dana and Shannon Show" was excellent. We got to hang and out and shoot the bull with these two gals for about an hour and air some of our new stuff plus some of the old. They even let us make a bunch of selections and set them up on-air. How sweet is that? We'd like to give a big thumbs up to them and all the listeners that tuned in. We also got a quite a response regarding our prize packs which was pretty overwhelming considering the show doesn't start until midnight on Wednesdays. We hope all you callers are enjoying your new Dedloft Cd's and gear. Thank you all so very much for dropping us a line. 2-25-04 Dedloft on Allegheny College Radio On Wednesday, February 25th we are going to be featured on Allegheny's own 90.3 FM Radio, so if you get a chance, tune in and check it out. The progam is called "The Dana & Shannon Show" and runs from 12am to 2am every Wednesday night. They like to support local and regional underground acts, so kudos to them and all their efforts. If everything works out, we will be making an in-studio appearance to take some calls and maybe give away some prize-packs! If you can't pick-up the station on your radio, you can go to warc.allegheny.edu to hear what's going on. 2-15-04 Not one, But two amazing shows Man, what a great weekend! First of all, Firday's show at the Greens was just plain killer! Including bands, guests and patrons, there was about a 250 head count which those of you who know the area can attest that a draw like that doesn't usually happen this time of year. A huge thank you to all you kids who came out to throw down and pick up the new disc; You are the best. Then Saturday's show in Meadville; just friggin unbelievable. 11 bands and 8 hours of music. A big thumbs up to Josh Cohen and Lexsis Jumps for creating a show like that. I still can't believe they pulled it off! Josh is planning on setting another one up in May. When we find out more details, we will post them. 1-30-04 Sherlock's Cd Release Party a friggin' blast Thanx to everyone who braved the elements to come out and support us and the other bands last Saturday. The show was awesome because of you. You kept the room full and moving for every set! Thank you all so very much. Also a big thanks to Dave Richards and Chris TIngley for the Newspaper and Radio coverage, and of course we can't forget Trevor Huster and Stan Cody for their time devoted to the recording and artwork of our latest project. Thank you all so very much! 1-19-04 > Dedloft featured in Showcase and on NRG Radio What-up Dedloft Die-hards, if you get a chance pick up this week's Erie-Times Showcase on Thursday. There will be a write-up on our latest recording and Saturday's show at Sherlock's. We will also be featured on Gannon's WERG 89.9 Metal Meltdown this Friday between 9pm and 12am, so if you get a chance, tune in and check out the new stuff. The show this Saturday is going to be killer. Lexsis Jumps and Point Zero are going to be playing with us, and those of you who have seen these bands know they compliment our bills perfectly. See you then! 1-10-04 > New Recording back from replicators Hello, Everyone. Well, we finally got the 1000 pressing of our latest offering back from the replicators and it turned out friggin' sweet! We took the 10 hours that we won from Diecaster Studios last year and recorded 2 brand new songs. We plan to use this new CD in our latest press kits, and we'll also have it for sale at our shows. The way it will be packaged is as follows: 2 new tracks -Masks & Drainface- in a full-color mini-jacket with lyrics and an enhanced segment which features a 55 image media-show tracked to Grip. It also comes with two new 4" stickers and an exclusive keychain that only comes with the kit. The whole thing will be sold for a whopping 5 bucks! If you only want the recording , no sweat. We will be selling it for just 3 dollars! We are going to have two CD Release Parties in honor of this new project. One will be a 21 and over show at Sherlock's on January 24th and the other, an all-ages show at The Country Greens on February 13th. We can't wait to see you all there.
