Description:
beforesunday was formed in May of 2002 and is comprised of six incredible musicians with the same vision. They all want to see people’s lives changed through the music the band plays. The band is experienced in playing both concert venues and praise and worship venues. beforesunday has many musical influences including: Oasis, Delirious, U2, Foo Fighters, Sixpence, Goo Goo Dolls and Audio Adrenaline. beforesunday believes that this is a sight and sound generation and the youth of this nation can only be reached by relating with them. beforesunday is committed to showing that Christianity is a life style, not a musical genre. beforesunday has played for such venues as “OK One” in Stillwater Oklahoma, leading worship for over 500 youth from various churches over the state of Oklahoma. The band has played for the “HNE Live” venue in Catoosa, Oklahoma. beforesunday was one of the featured bands at the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma "Concert in the Park" series. beforesunday was also featured on the nationally released "HMG-Nashville Christian Rock vol. 102" compilation CD. Other venues include “The Gathering” at the Wonderama theater in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Daywind Christian Artist Search in Dallas Texas, and several church camps around the Oklahoma area.

Band Members:
Kourtney Roop, the lead singer of beforesunday, has been actively involved with music for over ten years. He was raised in Owasso, Oklahoma and is one of the founding members of beforesunday. Kourtney graduated high school in 1996 from Owasso High School. He went on to attend The University of Arkansas, Oklahoma State University and Ozark Christian College where he studied Music Education, Percussion, Voice and Music Ministry. Kourtney is the former worship minister of East Tulsa Christian Church and started the youth worship program at First Christian Church in Owasso, OK. Kourtney was wed to his wife, Holley, April 13th, 2002.
Rich Gable is one of the guitarists for beforesunday. He is also a familiar and respected musician in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area for his jazz saxophone abilities. Rich, also one of the founding members of beforesunday, was raised in the Tulsa, OK area. He graduated high school in 1998 from Owasso High School, where he met Kourtney Roop. Rich attended college at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK where he studied music and had the opportunity to perform with such artists as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Vince Gill and Rita Moreno.
