Latest News:
I feel better knowing that these guys are in the world doing their thing. What is their thing? The ingredients are a healthy dose of a Native American theme, a dash of humor, and a political agenda. The music that comes out of that is somehow really good stuff. I'll admit that they sound like U2 or The Cult but that doesn't make them a copy of those bands. They definitely have their own style. Their 'Patent Pending' album has plenty of different moods. There's energy from songs like 'Mary On The Dash', calming tones from songs like 'Sullen' and then you'll find a psychedelic hint to most of the rest of it. Check it out. These guys are good. -TRANSMISSION MAGAZINE 2003***** *****Formed in '97, Atomic Love Medicine began their journey of sorting out their reasons and stories. Always never ending and never a fairy tale... β€œIn an era where depressing lyrics and predictable music have flooded the airways, Atomic Love Medicine breaks the mold with its intelligent, and powerful brand of rock. Formed in 1997, the southwestern based musicians have spent the last couple years securing their slot at the top of many music enthusiast's lists. Those fortunate enough to witness an ALM performance are quick to realize the sincerity behind Smith's powerful words. Sober and passionate, the songwriter's lyrics are delivered with such strength, they successfully marry the group's vision of fun with purpose. The band elects not to patronize music fans by regurgitating the dismal themes so many bands of the nineties have opted to employ. Instead, ALM incorporates Smith's experiences being of Native American descent, with fun, upbeat rock and roll--garnished with a reminiscence of new wave...” January 17, 2000...” -Smartypants magazine
